01  /  What we do

How we help your family.

From the protection your family needs today to the long-term solutions you're building toward — six lines of insurance and protection. Life insurance is the foundation; education savings, retirement income, and segregated funds build on that foundation. We can help with all of them, or just the pieces you need.

Life insurance

Term and permanent. Coverage sized to your actual obligations — mortgage, income replacement, dependents, estate liquidity — not a rule of thumb.

  • Term 10/20/30
  • Whole life
  • Universal life
  • Joint last-to-die

ii.

Living benefits

Critical illness and disability insurance. Income protection through the working years, plus a lump-sum benefit on diagnosis — often the most overlooked piece of a family's plan.

  • Critical illness
  • Return-of-premium options

Mortgage protection

Personally-owned term life sized to your mortgage. Portable across renewals, payable to your family instead of to the lender — coverage you own, not the bank's.

  • Term coverage
  • Portable
  • Family-payable

Education savings

Segregated-fund RESPs from major Canadian life insurers. Your child's plan stays eligible for the Canada Education Savings Grant — 20¢ on the dollar from the federal government — while sitting inside an insurance contract.

  • Seg-fund RESPs
  • CESG grants
  • Per-child planning

Retirement income

Annuities and segregated-fund retirement plans from major Canadian life insurers. Guaranteed-income contracts for the years when running out is the biggest risk.

  • Seg-fund RRIFs

Segregated funds

Insurance-company investment contracts with maturity and death-benefit guarantees, named-beneficiary advantages, and creditor protection in qualifying situations.

  • RRSP / TFSA-eligible
  • Estate planning
  • Creditor protection
02  /  How we work

A clear path forward.

Every recommendation starts with understanding you. Here's what to expect — from the first conversation to the years that follow.

Two figures across a table in animated conversation, an open book between them
  1. 01

    Discovery · complimentary

We start by getting to know your family — your income, assets, debts, existing coverage, and goals. No paperwork on your end; you talk, we listen and document. Most first consultations happen over Zoom; in-person in the GTA on request.

  2. 02

    Analysis · between meetings

We run the numbers. Protection gap by spouse, debt obligations, dependents' needs, estate liquidity — all calculated against your actual situation. No spreadsheets you have to interpret; we'll bring the conclusions, with the math behind them, to the next meeting.

  3. 03

    Recommendation

We walk you through the analysis live, with what-if controls so we can adjust assumptions in front of you. Then we propose solutions. Every recommendation comes with the math behind it and a written rationale you take home.

  4. 04

Implementation & review · for as long as you're with us

If you choose to proceed, we shop multiple carriers, take care of the application, and stay with you through underwriting. We meet annually for a review, and immediately when life changes — new child, new mortgage, new job, new business.

03  /  Why us

Three things you can count on.

Independence. Care taken with every recommendation. A relationship built for the long term. These aren't slogans — they're commitments that shape every conversation we have with the families who choose us.

α

Independent, by design.

We aren't captive to any single carrier. We quote across the major Canadian carriers and recommend on fit, not on who pays us most. The carrier comparison sheet — and full disclosure of how we're compensated — comes with every recommendation, in writing.

β

Systematic, not improvised.

Every recommendation is documented in writing, with the numbers shown. If we suggest $750,000 of term-20, you'll know exactly which obligations drove the face value and why 20 years was the right duration — not 10, not 30. Defensibility isn't a slogan; it's the whole point.

γ

Built for the long term.

The right plan for a 30-year-old family looks different at 35, 45, and 55. We're here for every renewal, every new child, every new mortgage, every job change. The first meeting is the start of a multi-decade relationship — not a sale we close and forget.

Our mission

To give immigrant families honest advice on building their financial future and a lasting legacy — on a foundation they can trust.

In 2026, we're guiding 100 immigrant families toward that future.

04  /  About

Built for trust that lasts.

TrueRise Financial is an independent insurance practice based in Mississauga, Ontario, serving families across the province. We work primarily over Zoom, with in-person meetings available in the GTA on request.

The practice was founded on a single conviction: that the right insurance plan is one that's defensible on paper, sized to a family's actual situation, and shopped across multiple carriers on behalf of the client. Trust is the only product we sell — the policies follow.

You'll work with a licensed insurance advisor from your first call through every annual review, every life change, and every renewal conversation that follows. No call center, no handoff, no rotating team. The relationship is the point.

Licensed in the province of Ontario to provide life insurance, accident & sickness insurance, and segregated funds advice. For services outside this scope — securities investments, mutual funds, tax filing, or legal advice — we refer to qualified professionals. Compensation and any conflicts of interest are disclosed in writing before any application. Errors & omissions coverage in place.
